The Green Gala Awards, part of the Climate Change Week celebration, recognizes corporations, organizations, and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication towards creating a greener and more sustainable world.

“This esteemed recognition at the Green Gala Awards reflects Globe’s steadfast dedication to environmental sustainability. We would like to thank Climate Change Commissioner Albert dela Cruz & Rotary Club of Makati Business District for this recognition,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer of the Globe Group.

By continuously innovating and investing in sustainable technologies, Globe is making a significant tangible impact in the global fight against climate change.

The award underscores Globe’s strategic shift to renewable energy and deployment of over 9,000 green network solutions, including solar hybrid gensets and onsite solar panels, as well as utilization of intelligent monitoring systems for energy efficiency. These initiatives not only improve operational efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions but also demonstrate the company’s leadership in integrating sustainable business practices.

Globe’s commitment extends to its supply chain, where it encourages partners, vendors, and suppliers to adopt sustainable practices as its supply chain is a key enabler in helping the company be recognized as the Most Sustainability Driven Network in the Philippines. This holistic approach ensures that environmental sustainability is ingrained in every aspect of the company’s operations.

Marichelle “Mache” Torres-Ackerman, Ambassador, Chairperson of Climate Change Commission Week, and Chairperson/Founder of Green Gala Awards, noted the significance of Globe’s achievements.

“Globe’s innovative approach to sustainability sets a benchmark for other corporations. Their dedication to developing and implementing environment-friendly technologies is crucial in our collective effort to combat climate change. The Green Gala Awards are proud to recognize such trailblazing efforts that inspire and lead the way towards a sustainable future,” she said.

The Climate Change Commission is committed to reducing GHG emissions by 75% by 2030 as part of the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement.
