A lot may have already been familiar with Bitcoin, but not the technology that made it valuable – Blockchain. Bitcoin’s surge during the last quarter of 2017 has brought in a lot of new people not wanting to miss out on the hype – which induced an alarming number of successful scams on people not really knowing what they’re getting into.
VISIV UPLB – a technological student organization dedicated to promoting emerging technologies and their possible applications on different fields– leads the way in enlightening interested individuals through their upcoming event, Do Decrypt: A Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Forum.

Happening on March 26, 2018, 6-10pm at the NCAS Auditorium in University of the Philippines Los Baños, Do Decrypt: A Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Forum aims to share knowledge and answer questions of the public regarding cryptocurrency. Its primary focus is to unravel the massive potential behind the hype: Blockchain technology.
Various speakers have been invited to discuss different topics regarding the said technology. The 4-hour event include: the potential of Blockchain Technology, development of the said technology, and lastly, basic knowledge in trading cryptocurrencies. The said event would also teach people sleuth out potential scams that try to lure-in unsuspecting people that want to try out cryptocurrency trading and mining.
