Super Mario Run is Nintendo’s first mobile game. It is a side-scrolling endless runner style game and designed specifically for mobile devices. It is now available to download on App Store. You’ll be able to download the demo version of the game for free, but the full version will cost you $9.99 as a one-off payment for the full game. However, Super Mario Run on Android won’t be out until next year because of piracy concerns.

You cannot play Super Mario Run offline, You need an active internet connection to be able to play it.
“We wanted to be able to leverage that network connection with all three of the [Super Mario Run] modes to keep all of the modes functioning together and offering the game in a way that keeps the software secure. This is something that we want to continue to work on as we continue to develop the game,” Miyamoto said.
